Sandy!

Wow, it's been an interesting few days! I am happy to report that I have not personally suffered any ill effects from the storm. Sweetie's cable TV went out for a few hours-- though I lived without a TV of my own for many years, I am glad I live with one now. Sometimes you just want more than a transistor radio!
But wow, a lot of other people have really been whacked. So many homes have been destroyed and lives lost. I walked around one of the zone A evacuation areas that was still showing the traces of 3 feet of flooding. And who knows when all the power will be back and subways running. A lot of companies will be closed for the third straight day tomorrow. But on the other hand, I've heard that liquor stores are going gangbusters! And the clean-up will no doubt create some construction jobs.

How about you, readers? Hope you've all weathered the storm...

I was thinking about you knowing that you live so close to Manhattan. Glad you are OK. My heart goes out to those who lost their loved ones and homes. It is really horrible. Take care and be well.

We lost our fence is Maine but our insurance will cover it. Thank goodness. I hope it leads to a quick recovery for all those folks. I feel bad for them. And, I'm glad YOU are ok.
