Personally, I suppose with the money I could save, I could have the sleeves shortened, but when you say consignment, does that mean I'm still paying $800 for a $2000 suit? I'd still rather shop the overstocks at Lands' End and get a nice new, unsweated in suit for $200. Call me crazy but who cares if it's designer wear? That kind of excess leads people in the office to think that you get paid too much, and pettiness and office politics are not my thing.mapgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06141234159609900257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-1151015048013394882006-06-22T18:24:00.000-04:002006-06-22T18:24:00.000-04:00In response to mapgirl's comment that Eddie Bauer ...In response to mapgirl's comment that Eddie Bauer not seen as carrying tailored clothes...a few years ago Eddie Bauer had an "AKA" line that tailored clothes/suits, etc. I don't know if it still exists, but I bought my interview suit (for Finance and consulting jobs) from that line. I even bought it online, since I needed Tall. Eight-and-a-half years later, I still use that suit for interviews (and nothing else). That was the best $200 I've ever spent!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-1150986096873721472006-06-22T10:21:00.000-04:002006-06-22T10:21:00.000-04:00I don't think of Eddie Bauer as carrying tailored ...I don't think of Eddie Bauer as carrying tailored clothes. But I have had great success with Lands' End Overstocks. I got a full suit from them this past year, and some suit separates and all of them fit great. Try doing their virtual fit model on the website. It will help you select the right sizes out of their catalog (but it doesn't work for the Overstock stuff). Once you know your size though, you can safely pick your size from anything and it's pretty consistent.mapgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06141234159609900257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-1150981684033793852006-06-22T09:08:00.000-04:002006-06-22T09:08:00.000-04:00D, I don't know what brand but Gap's jeans can var...D, I don't know what brand but Gap's jeans can vary within the same size.
If I find two pairs that fit, I get them and people probably think I wear the same jeans over and over!Andi @ udandi / Lunch It Punch Ithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12632195945628113453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-1150980852838889232006-06-22T08:54:00.000-04:002006-06-22T08:54:00.000-04:00The problem I have found with all clothing is that...The problem I have found with all clothing is that, even if the item is the same size as the 1st one you bought, they aren't really the same size.

I have ordered jeans and the pair I ordered fit perfect. So of course finding a good pair of jeans that fit is hard so I quickly ordered more. Sadly when they arrived, none fit. All the tags were the same. Go Figure?

Anyway, I would suggest saving the return postage and if they have a store front, take it there. I have done this, its less hassle and no cost, if I am already going past.Denise Mallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13253101883627114010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-1150941597387359692006-06-21T21:59:00.000-04:002006-06-21T21:59:00.000-04:00Oh gawd, I'm so short I could never trust myself t...Oh gawd, I'm so short I could never trust myself to shop for clothes online.
