There is definitely a noticable level of difference in service, but I would never spend my money or even frequent flier miles on it. For a few hours of relative discomfort...to enjoy all the addtional hours of the destination you're about to reach...the difference in cost just ain't worth it to the average joe or jane. Just rough it for the trip and you'll be fine after!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-76436459322060823352008-07-16T10:34:00.000-04:002008-07-16T10:34:00.000-04:00One day when I have accumulateed enough wealth I w...One day when I have accumulateed enough wealth I will be able to fly first class (or at least business class)...until then economy all the way with my ipod and my laptop...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-31115930208291510602008-07-15T16:50:00.000-04:002008-07-15T16:50:00.000-04:00Sometimes you need to see people face to face in 3...Sometimes you need to see people face to face in 3D, especially for us old fogeys, but perhaps the gas crisis will make more and more demand for telecommuting, and computer cameras, to become more like real life, and more cost effective.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-35050353751957956102008-07-15T11:35:00.000-04:002008-07-15T11:35:00.000-04:00There is areason that Geyhound is pretty much out ...There is areason that Geyhound is pretty much out of business.Deregulation did its job very well. Air travel is more accessable than ever before. However, that same accessability is the reason why airlines have such a hard time raising rates. For the non-business traveler it is 100% rate dependant, service is secondary.

My felling is that they could sell more Business calss seats if the upcharge was reasonable. My las tinternational flight came back with three quotes; $550 for coach, $7500 fo business, $14k for first.

CrazyNoel Larsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04101799343286185259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14245531.post-70497562823209922742008-07-15T09:33:00.000-04:002008-07-15T09:33:00.000-04:00Yea, I'll be staying in economy class with my ipod...Yea, I'll be staying in economy class with my ipod on and praying that the person next to me doesn't touch me or talk to me! I guess I can suffer through just about anything for a few hours.
I think air travel will remain a middle class thing. The economy tickets are getting more and more expensive....so those who are struggling will end up on the Greyhound or driving.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
