Pathetic attempt at July wrap-up

There's been so much going on I haven't had a chance to look back at July and do the usual monthly net worth summary. My net worth is basically unchanged, hovering somewhere between $284-285,000. My July expenses weren't really anything out of the ordinary, except for $835 worth of moving-related expenses. (That includes the $1 the USPS charges you when you do your address change online.)
Other items:
Food was $905 (over budget by $255)
Clothing was $75
Rent was sort of zero, since my old landlord just let me apply my security deposit to the last month's rent.
Miscellaneous was about $150, mainly just for a bike tune-up and a haircut.
Otherwise a lot of spending categories were under budget: I was so busy packing, I didn't have time to spend money!

the us postal service charges that fee to your credit card obviously because no jealous boyfriend/girlfriend, crazy neighbor who hates your cat, revengeful co-worker, or any of the assorted kooks walking the streets would fraudulently submit a forwarding order using their own name. my advice to you is to call your local p.o., ask to speak to the carrier supervisor for your zip code and ask him or her to tell your carrier to deliver a change of address form to your home. it does not cost a penny.

I also could have walked a few blocks to a post office, but I guess I was feeling lazy that day!
