My Credit Score

Whew! I finally did the free annual credit report, and paid $5.95 to get my credit score. It's 897, which is at the 97th percentile.
I was pretty sure it would be quite high, but I had this slight paranoia about something weird showing up on there, after having my wallet and passport stolen a few years ago.
Now I just need to take advantage of this excellent credit score by finding an apartment and getting a mortgage.

Wow, a truly amazing number.

But unfortunately, apparently not your FICO score, which is really the only credit score that matters. 850 is the highest score you can get: http://www.myfico.com/Help/Scoring.aspx

How annoying. I wasn't paying attention and thought it would be my FICO score!

The score was from TransUnion, by the way.

Congratulations! Even though it might not be your FICO, it's still nice to know that you're in the 97th percentile. I'm sure your FICO score would be comparable (percentage wise).

I ordered mine through Experian and found out it is 740 out of 830 (not sure if that's supposed to be FICO or not). I was very pleasantly surprised since although I've never been late or defaulted a loan I just have so damn much of it out there and a high debt-to-income ratio. Here's my post about it (link).

Your dedication and hard work has definitely paid off! Kudos!
