Ok, this time I'm just going to ask!

Welcome new visitors! Where are you all coming from? I've gotten a big spike in people coming in from "no referring link." Can anyone enlighten me?

I grabbed a bunch of links from other PF blogs and started posting to the most popular ones that I found of interest. I link to you via a URL in a Word file.

MoneySmartLife had posted that you were one of his main financial blogs he follows religiously.

I got your site from Nick at punny.org. I like reading personal stories along with personal finance, so your site keeps pulling me back.

You probably got a trackback from my site for your post on check usage.

Keep up the good articles!

I actually found your site in a blurb in Marie Claire magazine of all things and I thought I'd check it out. I never read Marie Claire, so I thought it would be fun to give it a try and was lucky to find it. I've loved your articles and "advice" so far. It's interesting to read about people in other corners of the country and how they fare financially. Keep up the great work!

I can't remember where I first linked to your site, but after reading it, I was inspired to start my own personal finance blog. I'd love for you to check it out if you have some time and let me know what you think. www.netperks.blogspot.com

Thanks!

Probably just phishers and spambots looking for email addresses. Big surge in spam recently.

Someone said I could find sound financial advice and free cookies at your website. So here I am!

Thanks all... I just had an unusually large number of visitors on Sunday Jan 14 and since, most of whom were coming in by googling the blog title or from no referring link, so I was hoping maybe I'd been on the cover of Parade Magazine or something!

I read about your blog while getting my hair cut last week. I'm a teacher in Oklahoma.
I've been reading ever since then. I just got married to someone with a lot of debt so I am a little obsessed with money right now :(

Keep up the good work.

Like a few others, I discovered your blog in Marie Claire. I absolutely love it and thanks to you I am now inspired to learn how to handle my finances, begin investing, etc. It's a sad story, I'm a 32 year old female with $2,000 in my savings account and no other savings to speak of. Not even a 401(k). The ironic thing is, I have no debt. No CC, student loans to repay, nada. I need to get my shit together! I hope it's not too late....

Well, I'm a regular, but maybe the spike was due to the weather! Nothing else to do but go down the bookmarks!!!

I think I came across a link to your website (last year) while reading an article about personal financial blogs. I read yours and Boston Gal's Open Wallet almost on a daily basis. Thanks and keep up the good work!

I started reading a lot of pf blogs recently, and yours is one that is consistently listed as a "must read". I think the content is invaluable, and I also refer to Single Ma and Boston Gal regularly. Thanks!

I picked up an old Marie Claire and read about you...all the way from Orange County, CA.

Marie Claire for me, too. An old one at the gym. As someone whose family never discussed money, I'm loving your posts. It's the sort of info I - 26, debt-free with two Roths I have no idea how to manage and savings getting a pittance in a money market account - absolutely need to know. Thanks for writing it!

thru Boston Girl but now bookmarked -- you're inspiring me to be more proactive about my cash while i save for my own nyc apt (how did you decide to buy recently? i have a fear of locking in at the top of the market).

Long time reader, first time commenter. I was directed to your site by the canadian capitalist personal finance site. I first found it in November and promptly read all of your back posts. It was a little exhausting (primarily due to volume and not creative content). I enjoy your writing style and the humour with which you discuss your life. In my mind you resemble Elaine Benes from Seinfeld, for a couple of reasons. The obvious comparison is because you work in publishing, you lead a moderately self absorbed life in New York, you're funny and attractive and in your mid to late thirties. You live in a world that is so different from my own (Saskatchewan) that I find it fascinating to read about your life (whoever thought one could live in such a small apartment). I am also very impressed by your ability to remain anonymous after all this time. And so, I end this rather wordy comment with a generic keep up the good work, and a specific well wishing: may your net worth continue to grow and your wit flourish.
