I Hate Being Near-sighted

I was talking to two of my colleagues recently, my boss and my boss's boss. My boss's boss, who has appeared here before under the pseudonym Zelda, was holding some papers. As we were chatting, I caught a glimpse of the papers, and realized the one on top was a salary change form. While trying to carry on a conversation and not obviously stare at her papers, I kept trying to look at the form and read what was on it. I could see that someone seemed to be getting a 4% raise, to a salary of $104,000-- at least I think that is what I saw! Unfortunately I never got a good enough look to read the name of the person getting the raise!
Maybe it's just as well...
