Why did someone give this to me for Christmas? Found it while gathering items to donate to Goodwill...

My only (weak) guess is someone thought it would make you laugh, since it's the opposite of your actual beliefs. It would be like giving an introvert like me a shirt that said: "Party Animal."
Or maybe the gift-giver just wasn't thinking straight when s/he purchased it.
I think that the gift says more about the giver than the recipient.
I laughed so hard when I saw this! Regardless of why you got it, there are people who buy these unironically and that's just sad...
It was indeed a funny gift! Maybe the giver gave it as a prank.
Just ridiculous, I wonder what was going on in the mind of the person who gave you this gift!
The sad part is that someone farmed the cotton for this the shirt, another dyed and wove the yarn, another person sewed it together, someone then "designed" the wording so another person could screen print the lovely metallic gold pait, another sold it, and your friend/crazy aunt bought it and then gave it to you. And now someone will dig it out of the bin at Goodwill and hang it up, while someone else will buy it as a joke, while being checked out by yet another person, and other person will shake their head and take it to Goodwill. The carbon footprint and "traveling pants" aspect of that shirt is pretty unreal.
Bach,
Quit the meth.
Agree with everyone else. This was funny, but it says more about the giver than you.
Since you're careful with your money, perhaps they think you're broke?
Gag gift perhaps?! Or maybe it goes with the whole looking like a homeless hippie is in style thing?!
